Maintenance Technician IThe Maintenance Technician I performs routine and break down maintenance on processing and packaging equipment and is responsible for keeping the plant running and in compliance with all rules and regulations by using safe methods of equipment repair/upkeep. What matters is real impact, not the volume of activity.An environment that allows you to focus on what truly matters:Starting Rate: $30.33hr to $36.56hr based on experience$1.50hr more on night shiftTwo pay increases in the first year up to $1.00Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Short and Long-term Disability Insurance401(k) with up to a 7% company match3 Weeks PTOPaid holidays and 2 floating holidaysAdvancement OpportunitiesTuition ReimbursementHealthy work/life balanceShift time- 2/2/3 Nights 6pm to 6amYour role in achieving results:Effectively communicate with crew from previous and current shifts.Work closely with production Supervisors, line leaders and production crews to answer questions and receive as much information as possible to perform the work successfully.Efficiently repair/replace valves and pumps (seals, steams, O rings, seats, bearings, etc.)Effectively perform electrical wiring (switches, outlets, starter, motor leads, etc.).Effectively perform sanitary welding and moderate pipe fitting (stainless, copper, pvc, etc.).Perform utility inspections (boilers, air systems, WWTP, water systems, ammonia, HVAC, security, etc.), adjusting as needed.Effectively update and install equipment.Efficiently perform regular and preventative maintenance related to the plant, equipment, and grounds in compliance with standard operating procedures, good manufacturing practices, and safety policies as enforced by OSHA.Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment during the packaging/production process as needed.Prepare and set up machinery for scheduled production runs.Work closely with production to minimize downtime while maintaining quality.Maintain a working knowledge of all plant area processes.Accurately read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders.Understand and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices.Safety Protocol Stop any observed unsafe acts and obey facility safety rules and procedures.Correct or report any observed safety hazards.Support safety policies and programs.This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time.What we are looking for to deliver these results:Education Required:High School Diploma or equivalent required.Experience Required:Maintenance/repair experience or training required.Mechanical and electrical aptitude required.Skills Required:Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with managers and colleagues.Decisions administered soundly and consistently with policies and in compliance with appropriate laws and regulations.Able to follow written, verbal and/or diagrammatic instructions; solve practical problems; interpret verbal and written instructions; logical thinking to solve problems including abstract and concrete variables; address practical problems.Able to exchange basic informational data (fill out forms/checklists, copy data from one record to another, etc.); interview to gather information; advise others on alternatives/options; read, understand and explain technical data.Ability to work with minimum supervision, adapt to a changing environment quickly, and think independently.Demonstrate functional and technical knowledge, ability to learn new skills quickly, and achieve a high level of accomplishment.Demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy in work.Basic math plus fractions, decimals and percentages, as well as algebraic calculations.Basic computer operational skills; able to input and retrieve computerized information.Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively at all levels in a collaborative team environment.Exhibit a professional manner in dealing with others and work to maintain constructive working relationships.A role for those who want to contribute to measurable and sustainable results.AA/EEO – Minority/Female/Disability/Veteran/Sexual Orientation/Gender IdentityAgropur welcomes people from all backgrounds and origins.
