Director of Rehabilitation

We are seeking an experienced Director of Rehabilitation (DOR) to lead and oversee rehabilitation services in a healthcare setting. The DOR will be responsible for managing therapy operations, ensuring quality patient care, supporting clinical staff, and maintaining compliance with applicable standards and regulations. Responsibilities Direct and oversee daily rehabilitation department operations. Supervise, mentor, and support rehabilitation staff, including PT, OT, and SLP professionals. Develop and implement effective therapy programs based on patient needs. Ensure high-quality, patient-centered rehabilitation services. Monitor clinical documentation, productivity, and departmental performance. Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, administrators, and other healthcare professionals. Participate in care planning, interdisciplinary meetings, and quality improvement initiatives. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations. Assist with staffing, scheduling, hiring, onboarding, and employee development. Monitor department goals, outcomes, and operational metrics. Address patient, family, and staff concerns professionally and promptly. Qualifications Current and valid California license in Physical Therapy (PT), Occupational Therapy (OT), or Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) , as applicable. Previous rehabilitation leadership or management experience preferred. Strong knowledge of rehabilitation services and clinical operations. Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills. Ability to work effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams. Experience with documentation, compliance, and quality assurance.
