Job Description
Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Room (ER)

The Registered Staff Nurse (RN) providing care in the Emergency Room (ER) plays an essential role in delivering holistic and patient-centered care to customers and their families. This position focuses on independent, collaborative, and delegated nursing functions, adhering to specific standards and competencies relevant to the ER setting.

Key Responsibilities

Perform patient assessments and establish nursing diagnoses.
Identify outcomes to be achieved and develop comprehensive care plans based on assessments.
Implement nursing interventions and provide care, continually evaluating patient progress.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care across disciplines.
Participate in shared accountability and decision-making processes related to nursing practices.
Promote and support exceptional customer care through effective leadership and practice standards.

Qualifications

A minimum of 2 years of travel experience in the Emergency Room.
Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
Current certifications in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC).
Experience in caring for diverse patient populations, including neonates, children, young adults, adults, and older adults.
Experience in a Level IV Trauma Center.
Proficiency with Epic electronic medical records.

Work Schedule

This position comes with a 36-hour guarantee and requires working every other weekend. There are no on-call requirements for this role.
