Secondary Team, Primary. 2026-2027 School Year. Location: Parkrose Middle School Salary Range: $124,152 – $148,244 per year (plus employer‑paid retirement and benefits). *Note: all administrators are taking 5 furlough days in the 26‑27 year; salary shown does not reflect this change.* Hours: 40 hours per week. Overview: The role supports the Principal and other personnel in enforcing policies, maintaining safety, coordinating school activities, assisting students with behavior, and communicating with staff, parents, and the public. Job Requirements Prior job‑related experience with increasing responsibilities in a school setting. Multicultural competency. Appropriate Oregon Administrative License. Valid driver’s license and evidence of insurability. Citizenship, residency, or work visa required. Skills, Knowledge and/or Abilities Manage personnel and programs, communicate effectively, and problem‑solve. Knowledge of curriculum, education code, and district policies. Abilities: sit for prolonged periods, provide direction, make independent judgments, keep accurate records, meet deadlines, communicate with diverse backgrounds, oral and written communication. Essential Job Responsibilities Facilitates communication between personnel, students, and/or parents for evaluating situations, solving problems, and/or resolving conflicts. Facilitates various meetings (e.g., curriculum, safety, site advisory, special district committees, staff development) to coordinate agendas and ensure outcomes meet school district and/or state objectives. Intervenes in occurrences of inappropriate student behavior for the purpose of assisting students in modifying behavior, developing interpersonal skills, and/or initiating disciplinary action. Manages various school administrative functions (e.g., student disciplinary policy, school schedule, assigned personnel) to enforce school, district, and state policy and maintain safety and efficiency. Prepares documentation (e.g., reports, correspondence) to provide written support and/or convey information. Presents information on various topics to communicate and gather feedback. Supports Principal in maintaining overall school site operation. Oversees: student support and discipline, special education and alternative learning environments, instruction, AVID, attendance, assistance and advisement for administrative regulations, interagency committees, and secondary administrative duties. Other Job Functions Assists other personnel as required to support completion of their work activities. Participates as a member of the District’s Management Team.
