Minimum Job Requirements High School Degree 3rd class Ohio State Stationary License Boiler firing & repair, mechanical and computer knowledge 3-4 years experience in a related field Job Overview Under the direction of the Power Plant Supervisor, this position operates, monitors, and repairs three gas/oil fired boilers and related equipment, and operates and monitors three hospital computer systems (Pevco pneumatic tube system, Honeywell Building Automation System, and Metasys building automation system). The incumbent also uses programs such as Maximo work order, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Access, answers the phone, records proper information for Engineering and Maintenance, dispatches E & M technicians, and ensures the physical appearance of the assigned equipment and plant is maintained. The operator performs assigned preventative maintenance, repairs, and tasks with proper documentation, demonstrates flexibility and initiative, and prepares boilers and other vessels for annual inspections. The Boiler Operator may also be requested to perform other duties as needed by the supervisor.
