Machinist

Candidate will be required to fabricate/machine parts from drawings, sketches, verbal instructions and 3D CAD models using common Machine Shop equipment.

Equipment includes; 2 and 3 axis Trak Mills, Hardinge and Clausing manual lathes, Surface grinder, band saws, shear etc.

Materials include; Plastics, Aluminum, Stainless Steel, and other ferrous and non-ferrous alloys, routinely holding tolerances of +/-.005 with tighter tolerances on occasion.

Candidate must be a motivated self-starter, requiring min. supervision. Must be willing to train on other more advanced equipment for personal and shop growth. Adherence to all shop safety rules as well as maintaining a neat and clean work area is required.

Qualifications

A minimum of two years of applicable experience, or graduation from a two year day technical school machinist course, or four year vocational technical high school is required. Candidate should have a strong understanding of basic machine shop practices including ability to read blue prints and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerances (GD&T).
