Production Worker - 12 Hour Night Shift

Job TitleShift: 6pm - 6am**$20.68/ hr + $1 Shift Differential**For 12 hour shift, it rotates days on and off, week 1 work 36 hours then week 2 work 48 hours (mandatory overtime can occur on top of this).Kawneer is a large commercial window manufacturing company who supplies windows and aluminum to companies nationwide. You have access to an onsite fitness center that includes a weight room, cardio equipment and outdoor walking trail.ResponsibilitiesHaving production goals to meet our OTIF and financial metricsWork in varying temperatures with a high amount of repetitive liftingBe around or operate mobile equipmentRead and follow all safety rules and regulations, standard operating procedures and quality standardsMaintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly conditionComplete required paperwork and data entry which can be hardcopy or electronicWear provided personal protective equipment (hard hat, earplugs, safety glasses, gloves, arm guard sleeves, metatarsal safety shoes, etc)Produce a quality product with attention to detailEnsure orders maintain internal schedule to keep pace to be on time to customerFollow directions from manager and functional lead to complete daily tasksContribute to continuous improvement activities as neededMeasure aluminum extrusionsCheck material against orders and visually inspect incoming materials.Other duties as requiredQualificationsBasic:Must be able to understand and speak English proficiently.Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. This location has continuously built our products here since the early 1970s and we have a long legacy of products we've manufactured including the windows for the crown of the Statue of Liberty. Currently we supply commercial windows and aluminum sticks to companies nationwide.
