Corporate Financial Controller

HHM Talent is assisting a client search for an Automotive Corporate Controller in Columbus, OH.
Position Overview
Our client is seeking a highly experienced Automotive Corporate Controller to lead all accounting, financial reporting, and compliance functions across a multi-rooftop dealership group. This individual will oversee the store level controllers, standardize accounting processes, and drive a consistent month end close. This role requires deep automotive industry experience and the ability to manage complex, multi-location financial operations.
- Oversee all accounting and financial operations for multiple dealership locations
- Lead and mentor a team of Controllers
- Ensure that all rooftops follow the same accounting processes
- Enforce a 5 to 6 day month end close timeline
- Ensure accuracy of general ledgers, schedules, reconciliations, and financial statements
- Maintain clean, organized, compliant accounting records and processes
- Ensure all stores meet reporting deadlines with complete, audit ready financials
- Lead audit preparation, including flooring audits, tax reviews, and internal audits
- Utilize the DealerTrack DMS system
- Must have Automotive Corporate Controller experience
- 5 to 10 years of multi-rooftop group experience
- Proficiency with DealerTrack is strongly preferred
- Proven success delivering a tight month-end close.
- Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work onsite in Columbus, OH (relocation assistance available)
