Senior Training and Development Specialist CNA, 3003 Washington Blvd, Arlington, Virginia, United States of America Job Description Posted Tuesday, May 5, 2026 at 4:00 AM | Expires Saturday, June 27, 2026 at 3:59 AM Primary Purpose CNA is hiring a Sr. Training and Development Specialist . This role delivers HR expertise in training & development and supports employee relations. The senior specialist will create, plan, and run learning programs to enhance employees’ competencies, delivering trainings that meet organizational needs and embed core values. Responsibilities include conducting training needs assessments, designing engaging curriculum and learning materials, overseeing all aspects of the training program, and providing day‑to‑day coaching on performance management, compliance, policy interpretation, and more. Job Description and Duties Partner with the Director of Human Resources and hiring managers to understand the business units’ near‑term and long‑term learning and development goals, translating those into high‑impact learning strategies. Assess training needs, develop curriculum, and deliver training sessions to improve workplace performance and align with the company’s core values. Build an annual training program, develop instructional materials, manuals, and deliver courses. Direct structured learning experiences and evaluate program effectiveness. Serve as the company’s training and development lead, advancing innovative ideas and practical applications to grow professional capabilities of leaders and employees. Stay abreast of training and development research, conduct trend analyses, draw conclusions, and make recommendations. Respond to employee relations matters, including performance management and formal complaints such as discrimination and harassment, by conducting thorough investigations and preparing reports. Develop collaborative relationships with managers and employees to identify conflicts early and facilitate proactive resolution, ensuring adherence to company policies and regulations. Perform other duties as assigned. Job Requirements Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field; Master’s degree and PHR/SPHR certification desirable. Experience: Minimum 8 years of progressive training and HR experience, including 5 years in Training and Employee Relations, designing multiple training events and managing complex Employee Relations cases. Skills: Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment, excellent written and verbal communication, strong analytical and judgment skills, interpersonal and trust‑building ability, knowledge of employment law, instructional design theory, learning principles, training management software, and proficiency in MS Office. Remote/Hybrid Work Eligibility: The position is eligible for telecommuting or hybrid work arrangements at the discretion of the Supervisor.
