Transactional Tax Associate (3+ Years)
Direct Counsel represents an AmLaw 100 firm seeking a Transactional Tax Associate to join its Tax practice. The firm is seeking candidates coming from peer Big Law environments with strong experience in partnership, real estate (including REITs), and corporate tax matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise on transactional tax issues involving partnerships, real estate structures, REITs, and corporate transactions.
- Draft, analyze, and support tax-related components of complex deals.
- Collaborate with deal teams and provide clear, accurate client guidance.
- Manage deadlines, multitask effectively, and deliver high-quality work.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of transactional tax experience in Big Law.
- Excellent academic credentials and strong communication skills.
- Proven client service orientation and ability to manage multiple projects.
- New York Bar membership required.
Compensation
- Expected salary: $260,000
- Actual compensation will depend on experience, location, and other job-related factors.
- Full-time employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, vision, disability insurance, FSAs, 401(k), PTO, and employee assistance programs.
