Bioinformatics Scientist (Neuroimaging) - NIH

The National Institutes of Health is seeking a Bioinformatic Scientist (Neuroimaging). This is a long‑term, full‑time, contract position based in Bethesda, MD. Analyses include leveraging neuroimaging and machine learning tools. Data collection can include: assisting with designing paperless forms of data acquisition. Serve as a resource for knowledge of advanced statistical and neuroimaging methods for current and new members of the research group. Lead journal clubs/scientific discussions for trainees and research staff. Assist in the design and the development of study protocols. Advise on selection of tools (e.g. data collection management software) for use by the lab. Collaborate with clinicians and other scientists within and outside of the group. Spearhead project(s) which can include other team members. Implement new data analysis techniques and methodologies. Introduce novel ways of data analysis and processing to the lab members related to the mission of the section. Attend national and international conferences for fostering collaboration and staying up to date on new methodologies and new findings. Requirements Ph.D. in Neuroscience or related discipline.
