Laboratory Specimen Processor
Labcorp
Labcorp seeks a Laboratory Specimen Processor to prepare and route biological samples for testing in a high-volume production environment. The role involves specimen handling, data entry, and logistics to support clinical laboratory operations in Troy, Michigan.
Responsibilities
- Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis by unpacking and routing to appropriate staging areas
- Accurately identify, label, and pack specimens for shipment to testing facilities
- Enter patient information into laboratory systems with accuracy and timeliness
- Document and resolve problem specimens according to protocols
- Meet departmental activity and production targets in a team-based setting
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Comfortable handling biological specimens and materials
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds regularly
- Strong attention to detail and accurate specimen identification skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Must pass standardized color blindness test
