Job Summary
The Instructor, Electrical/Industrial Maintenance is a full-time, benefited position responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in the Trades & Technical Studies Pathway and other related courses at the community college level. The instructor will teach a range of Electrical Technology courses, including, Intro to Industrial Safety, Trade Skills Fundamentals, DC Electricity, AC Electricity, Electrical Assembly and Measure, National Electric Code, Electrical Calculations, Electrical Conductors and Cables, Electrical Wiring Methods, Special Location Wiring Methods, Mechanical Drives, Mechanical Piping Systems, and Heating and Air Conditioning Principles catering to students with varied academic and career goals. Responsibilities include developing, revising, and delivering course materials aligned with college standards, assessing student performance, Electrical/Industrial Maintenance Instructor will be providing instruction in the above named courses in a classroom environment. In addition, the instructor will provide instruction and supervision in a "hands-on" shop/lab environment where students will be performing tasks associated with typical work performed by electrical apprentices in a residential or commercial construction and repair environment. The electrical technology instructor is expected to be proficient in all aspects of task and responsibilities associated with the electrician trade, and have the ability to demonstrate and supervise a wide variety of electrical and trades related tasks performed by students in a safe working and learning environment. The instructor will also be responsible for overseeing the safe operation and maintenance of the shop/lab facilities, equipment, and tooling used by students in the program. and providing academic support to help students succeed. The instructor must demonstrate a deep commitment to fostering student success through engagement in departmental activities, and staying current in the fields of teaching and Electrical Technology and/or Industrial Maintenance through professional development.
In addition to classroom teaching in varied environments, the (Electrical/Industrial Maintenance) Instructor will actively participate in student engagement activities such as recruitment, on-campus events and activities, and academic support initiatives. The Instructor will contribute to the continuous improvement of the institution by collaborating with colleagues across the College on curriculum development, program assessment, community building, and student success strategies. The instructor role also involves institutional service, including participation on committees, involvement in accreditation processes, and collaboration on departmental projects.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Electrical Journeyman licensure in Wyoming or equivalent from another state or equivalent Journeyman licensure in a related trade

- Associates degree in Electrical Technology or related field of study

- Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution in Electrical Technology or a related field of study

- Two or more years of college-level, or technical Industry teaching experience
