Certified Surg Tech - Travel Job

Jackson HealthPros is seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist to expertly assist physicians and nurses in the operating room during surgical procedures, ensuring the safety and well-being of patients by preparing the operating room, sterilizing equipment, and providing support to the surgical team. This opportunity is based in Portland, ME at a hospital setting. The role emphasizes neurosurgical and level I trauma experience, with exposure to robotic platforms and advanced intraoperative navigation systems.

Minimum Requirements:

• Current CST certification from a program accredited by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA).
• BLS certification.
• Minimum 3 years of operating room experience with at least 3 years scrubbing neuro cases.
• Demonstrated experience with neurosurgery procedures including microvascular manipulation (MVM) and cerebral aneurysm cases.
• Competence with Stryker instrumentation, Airo CT navigation, and O-arm navigation.
• Experience with complex spine deformity cases and robotic systems (Intuitive robot experience required).
• Experience in a Level I trauma center or equivalent high-acuity trauma environment.
• Willingness to participate in neuro call responsibilities as required by the team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional experience across other surgical specialties such as general surgery, orthopedics (trauma and joints), ENT, pediatrics, plastics, dental, or endovascular procedures.
• Familiarity with Storz and Olympus equipment and Epic EMR.
• Previous participation on specialty call teams with documented call scheduling experience.

Assignment Details

• Shift hours: 0700-1930.
• Weekend expectation: approximately 1:4 rotation with 12-hour weekend shifts.
• Call requirements: overnight trauma call (11p-7a) and specialty-specific call as scheduled by specialty teams. Neuro call expected in the range referenced by the facility call model.
• Weekly hours: 48 preferred, 36 acceptable.
