Task Force Contractors is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business delivering construction and facility services to the federal government. We hold long-term contract vehicles at Eglin Air Force Base, Hurlburt Field, and VA medical centers in Tampa, Montgomery, New Orleans, and Atlanta. We self-perform. We are growing.

We are hiring a Project Coordinator to sit between our field crews, our estimating desk, and our front office — the person who makes sure material shows up, purchase orders are right, quotes land before the bid closes, and compliance paperwork is in hand before anybody gets paid.

This is not a desk job with a jobsite view. You will be on the phone, in the field, and at the counter of the supply house.

What you will own

▪ Purchase orders. You convert field material requests into accurate POs the same day — right vendor, right price, right job cost code.

▪ Material readiness. No crew stands around waiting on material. You track it, chase it, and confirm it before the truck is supposed to arrive.

▪ Vendor quotes. You get complete, apples-to-apples pricing into the estimating team’s hands ahead of bid deadlines — not the morning of.

▪ Project calendar and notices. Schedule notices, base access requests, delivery windows, and inspection coordination across every active site.

▪ Compliance document chase. Certificates of insurance, W-9s, certified payroll, and lien waivers — collected before payment goes out, not after.

▪ Field-to-office communication. You are the single point that keeps superintendents, foremen, estimating, and the office reading off the same sheet of paper.

What we are looking for

▪ Three or more years coordinating construction projects, purchasing, expediting, or similar. Federal or DoD construction experience is a strong plus.

▪ You can read a schedule, a submittal log, and a set of plans well enough to know what is being ordered and why.

▪ Relentless follow-up. A large share of this job is chasing people who owe you something and not letting it drop.

▪ You are comfortable talking to a foreman at 6:45 in the morning and a government contracting officer at 2:00 in the afternoon.

▪ Strong with email, spreadsheets, and document/project systems — and quick to learn ours.

▪ Organized and discreet. You will handle payroll and subcontractor data that does not leave your desk.

Requirements

▪ Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

▪ Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen

▪ Ability to obtain and maintain access to federal installations and VA facilities

▪ Willingness to travel occasionally to project sites in Florida, Alabama, Louisiana, and Georgia

▪ Authorized to work in the United States
