Dental Assistant

Overview We are looking for an excellent Dental Assistant to join our Dental Practice. Qualifications and Requirements To be considered for this position, you must have schooling or dental office experience as a Dental Assistant. Infection control and X-ray certificates required. Must be able to work Saturdays. Job Duties Assisting the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures. Taking and developing dental radiographs (x-rays). Asking about the patient’s medical history and taking blood pressure and pulse. Providing patients with pre/post‑op instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures, such as the placement of a restoration (filling). Teaching patients appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health (e.g., tooth brushing, flossing, and nutritional counseling). Taking impressions of patient’s teeth for study casts. Taking needed pre‑op/post‑op x-rays for necessary insurance (e.g., XB, space maintainer). Charting/entering a treatment into Dentrix Ascend software. Benefits Medical, dental, and vision insurance.
