Senior Claims Advocate

Delivering top-notch claims service is essential in the everyday management of Property and Casualty claims alongside related matters. Our focus is particularly on personal auto and homeowners' insurance, construction, trucking/transportation, and real estate accounts. Key responsibilities encompass: preparing and reporting new claims; examining insurance policies to confirm coverages; evaluating and/or probing all coverage position letters, with follow-ups as necessary for resolution; overseeing open claims to aid in their resolution; engaging with clients, attorneys, insurance carriers, and producers to support them through the claims process; coordinating, completing, and presenting claim reviews, including those for insurance carriers when needed; participating in or facilitating meetings and discussions with clients and/or insurance personnel to build relationships; addressing reporting methods, promoting claims services, or tackling specific claims requirements; aiding in the training of unit staff in their specialty and being a resource for the department; assisting in the management of the Claims Department and supplying direction to Claims Representatives as required. Additionally, involvement in special projects may be necessary, along with providing 24-hour emergency claims service on a rotational schedule. This position is designated as a “#2” role and reports directly to the VP of claims. A New Jersey Broker's license is mandatory. Ideal applicants should possess 5-10 years of claims experience, exceptional verbal and written communication abilities, outstanding organizational and following-through skills, and strong customer service and interpersonal phone skills. A college degree is required, with preference given to those with agency experience. Proficiency in computer applications (such as Word and Excel) and familiarity with the Applied Epic insurance system are also essential. #J-18808-Ljbffr
