Manny's Parkside is looking for a dedicated team member to join our team in the position of Line Cook/Prep Cook. This position ranges from part-time to full-time hours during the busy season with various shifts available. This position will be responsible for preparing food/cooking ingredients and assisting kitchen staff.

Position Summary: The Line Cook prepares food to the exact Chef's specifications. This position involves the preparation of ingredients for service, including tasks such as chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces. The Line Cook assists with menu items in cooperation with other kitchen staff. The Prep Cook is responsible for preparing cooking ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat, etc. This position is responsible for undertaking basic cooking duties such as reducing sauces, parboiling food, etc. The Prep Cook prepares simple dishes such as salads, entrees, etc. This position is responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and taking out trash.

Job Requirements:

• Professional kitchen experience, including working on a hot line and grill is highly preferred.
• Experience in full-service restaurant is desired.
• Experience working as a prep cook or in a similar capacity.
• Understanding of cooking methods, ingredients, and equipment.
• Ability to read and follow prep list.
• Proficient knife-handling skills.
• Available to work flexible shifts
• Task-driven individual.
• Great communication skills.
• Good at working under pressure.
• Good team attitude.
