Workday Financials Consultant

Position Associate – United States of America About the Role As an Associate Consultant, you will deliver project work streams, manage work plans, and provide analytics, reporting, and client presentations, while collaborating with client staff, leadership, and mentoring junior teammates. Responsibilities Deliver project work streams and manage associated work plans. Provide analytics, reporting, and client interface/presentations. Collaborate with client staff and leadership. Manage and mentor junior Huron staff. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent work experience. 1–2 years’ experience in consulting, finance, higher education, and/or accounting. Previous experience implementing Workday with a focus on Record to Report (R2R); Workday Certification is a plus. Willingness to travel as needed for project assignments. Functional expertise in regulations and processes; understanding of higher‑ed financial requirements across various types of institutions. Demonstrated knowledge in academic structure, organizational assessment, and strategic planning. Exceptional advanced Excel skills, including modeling and macros. MBA or other relevant advanced degree (preferred). Expertise in the Financials function, processes and best practices. Experience as a functional application specialist. Excellent communication skills – oral and written – and the interpersonal skills needed to quickly establish relationships of trust and collaboration. Ability to establish credibility with senior‑level university executives. Ability to train and participate in the professional development of Huron staff in both project management and technical dimensions. Excellent time‑management and prioritization skills. Ability to manage multiple projects of differing scale and duration. Strong analytical skills to translate information from meetings into documentation. Desire and willingness to learn new tools, techniques, concepts, and methodologies. Compensation & Benefits Estimated base salary range: $95,000 – $130,000. Annual incentive compensation program participation.
