VAS QA Inspector

Summary Performs a number of tasks in the assembly area supporting internal and external customer requirements. Tasks include but are not limited to repetitive and moderately complex rework, product testing, block coding, and inspection processes. Salary Range $15.00 per hour Essential Functions Administers and operates the organization's warehouses, including processing, packaging, and storage of supplies, materials, and equipment. Uses verbal and written instruction for kit assembly, rework, testing, block code, and inspection of product. Lifts, unpacks, tests, repacks, and documents results. Reports work status to VAS Supervisor. Provides support as requested by a Lead. Maintains cleanliness of assembly area. Helps with packing and taping of boxes of products. Moves material with pallet jack or on cart. Supports safety initiatives and follows all safety guidelines. Pays close attention to detail to ensure processes are done correctly. Must count parts and product accurately. Uses a computer to perform testing/flashing of products. Uses test fixtures as directed. Prints labels using the Bartender program. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Qualifications Familiarity with working with electronic devices. Good basic computer skills. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide. Ability to read and comprehend procedures and work instructions. Educational/Experience Requirements High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Physical Requirements Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear. Frequently required to sit and reach. Occasionally required to stand and walk for long periods of time. Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 30 lbs. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and color vision. Working Conditions Work is typically performed within a general office environment, with adequate lighting and temperature control. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to recognize and solve assembly-related problems using critical thinking skills. Must be able to focus attention to task at all times. Must be able to work overtime as required.
