The Opportunity

Our client is a well-established, family-owned custom packaging manufacturer with over 55 years in business across New England and the greater New York/tri-state area — known for speed, reliability, and craftsmanship in custom corrugated packaging. Backed by significant investment in its own equipment and no debt on the books, the company has grown from roughly $3 million to $25 million in annual sales entirely through organic growth, and is now investing in its next chapter of sales talent.

This is a true hunting role for someone who wants to build their own book of business, be recognized and rewarded quickly for results, and work directly with ownership rather than layers of middle management. The sales organization here is lean by design, which means fast decisions, fast quotes, and the ability to close business the same week you find it.

What You'll Do

• Prospect and build relationships with manufacturing, food & beverage, pharma, and other target businesses — typically companies with 50–150 employees — across your territory.
• Generate and deliver quotes daily, and bring new business into the pipeline every week.
• Own the full sales cycle: prospecting, quoting, closing, and account follow-up, with in-house design and estimating support behind you.
• Represent a full product line spanning custom corrugated boxes, point-of-purchase and retail displays, litho-laminated packaging, protective packaging, and custom-engineered board grades.
• Participate in a weekly sales meeting to review quotes, wins, and pipeline directly with ownership.
• Build a long-term territory and client base with uncapped earning potential as your book of business grows.

Compensation

• Base Salary: $75,000
• Commission: 2.5% to quota, 5% uncapped beyond
• On-Target Earnings: $100,000–$150,000+

What We're Looking For

• 3–5 years of B2B sales experience, ideally in a manufacturing, industrial, or distribution environment — packaging experience is a plus, but not required.
• A self-starter who is comfortable prospecting daily and thrives on being out in the field building relationships.
• Strong follow-through and organization — consistency with quoting and follow-up matters as much as closing the big win.
• Someone excited to grow with a company investing in its next chapter, who wants a direct line to ownership rather than a large corporate hierarchy.
• A valid driver's license is required. A bachelor's degree is preferred but not a hard requirement for the right candidate.
