Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $24.00 / Hour Job Schedule: Thur: 02:00 PM - 10:30 PM Fri: 02:00 PM - 10:30 PM Sat: 02:00 PM - 10:30 PM Sun: 02:00 PM - 10:30 PM As a Security Officer Mobile Patrol Driver in Oakland, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Security Professional at utility locations, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and contractors. This driving role requires a valid driver’s license. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and represent Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, caring, and integrity-driven values through teamwork. What You’ll Do: Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at utility locations. Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity. Monitor access to assigned locations, verify visitor and contractor authorization in accordance with site procedures, and maintain required logs and records. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document actions taken. Report observed hazards, equipment concerns, suspicious activity, and policy violations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership in accordance with established procedures. Minimum Requirements: At least two years of security-related experience is required. A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. A guard card or license is preferred. CPR certification is preferred. CPR and First Aid certification is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
