Senior Cloud Infrastructure Developer

Role Description

This is an existing role in our team. We are seeking a strategic and technical Senior Cloud Infrastructure Developer to join our Development team on our Social Media Archiving product. The product is a production multi-tenant SaaS platform, processing millions of social media records every day. This role is critical to driving our AWS platform stability, scalability, and operational excellence as we continue to grow.

As a senior individual contributor, you will architect infrastructure solutions that balance performance with cost efficiency. You will own the evolution of our AWS cloud environment, championing DevOps principles and mentoring team members to adopt best practices in automation and observability.

What You'll Do as a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Developer

• Architect Scalable Solutions:
  • Develop and maintain resilient, cost-efficient infrastructure using AWS and other cloud services to meet evolving business needs.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC):
  • Use IaC solutions to enable automated provisioning and ensure consistency across all environments.
• Advance CI/CD Pipelines:
  • Design, develop, and maintain advanced pipelines, ensuring automated testing integration and deployment efficiency at scale.
• Champion Observability:
  • Design and deploy comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions (e.g., Kiali, Prometheus, etc) to proactively detect risks and assess system health.
• Optimize Performance and Cost:
  • Monitor AWS usage patterns to identify and implement strategies for cost reduction and resource optimization.
• Enhance Security and Resilience:
  • Implement security improvements to protect the platform's attack surface and develop disaster recovery processes to mitigate risks.
• Drive AI-Native Innovation and Proactive Operations:
  • Continuously evaluate emerging paradigms - including agentic development, context engineering, and AIOps - to automate routine tasks, optimize deployment workflows, and transition infrastructure toward predictive, self-healing capabilities.

Qualifications

• Alignment with Pagefreezer's Core Values
• AWS Cloud Expertise: 8+ years of experience in AWS cloud technologies, operating and scaling production SaaS workloads in DevOps or Infrastructure roles.
• Technical Proficiency: Advanced expertise with Terraform, Helm, Jaeger tracing, centralized logging and managing of event-driven Kubernetes microservices architectures.
• Software Engineering Foundations: Background in software development (e.g., building services, APIs, or data pipelines) is a strong asset.
• Complex AWS Service Management: Hands-on experience with EKS, SQS, SNS, Lambda, AuroraDB, Keyspaces and OpenSearch, operated in high-availability production environments.
• Worker Scaling with Kubernetes: Proven experience managing Kubernetes cluster in EKS, setting up autoscaling and load monitoring criteria through tools like Karpenter.
• CI/CD Management: Experience setting up and maintaining a CICD pipeline using ArgoCD, GH actions, blue/green deployments.
• Deep Linux & Programming Knowledge: Strong understanding of Linux systems and proficiency in Python and scripting languages, with bonus points for experience building production services.
• Mentoring and Technical leadership: Track record of mentoring engineers, conducting architecture reviews and suggesting and planning for improvements.
• Problem-Solving & Cost Management: A proven track record of tracking cloud costs and implementing effective reduction strategies.
• Collaborative Communicator: Top-notch communication skills with a mindset focused on knowledge sharing and cross-functional excellence.
• AI & Automation Advocacy: Proven experience in leveraging AI tools to surface insights faster and a passion for fostering an engineering culture rooted in automation and AI-augmented productivity.
