Investment Associate / Senior Associate | Venture Capital | New York City The Firm Our client is a well-established, New York-based venture capital firm investing in growth-stage SaaS, infrastructure, and open source software companies. The firm has raised five funds totaling over half a billion dollars and invested in more than 50 companies across enterprise software and emerging technology. The firm recently closed its latest fund, doubling down on an AI-first investment thesis and backing companies building the infrastructure, security, data, and automation platforms powering the AI era. The Opportunity This is a high-visibility Investment Associate / Senior Associate seat with direct exposure to category-defining software companies. The firm typically invests $10–30 million as a lead, co-lead, or co-investor, meaning you'll be working real check sizes with genuine influence on outcomes — not a junior seat buried in pitch decks. What You'll Do Source and evaluate new investment opportunities across enterprise software, SaaS, infrastructure, and AI-enabled platforms Conduct in-depth due diligence on prospective investments, including financial modeling and market research Support deal execution from initial screening through closing and integration Prepare investment memoranda and present recommendations to senior partners Monitor portfolio company performance and provide analytical support for value creation initiatives Participate in meetings with management teams, advisors, and co-investors Support ongoing fundraising activities and investor communications Track industry trends and competitive dynamics shaping enterprise software and AI investment strategy Who You Are 2–5 years of experience in investment banking, venture capital, private equity, or top-tier management consulting Advanced financial modeling and valuation skills Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving abilities Excellent written and verbal communication skills for investment materials and stakeholder interaction Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects with high attention to detail Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field Based in or willing to relocate to New York City Preferred Background Experience working with early-stage or growth-stage software companies Sector expertise in enterprise software, SaaS, infrastructure, or AI Proficiency with advanced data analytics tools Compensation $200,000 – $250,000 base salary, plus performance bonus commensurate with experience. #J-18808-Ljbffr Talently
