Construction Paralegal

PARALEGAL- Construction West Palm Beach, FL 33401 | 100% On-Site Temp-to-Hire or Direct Hire – Based on Experience Compensation: $90,000–$105,000 annually / approximately $43–$50 per hour Position Overview: A highly respected, nationally recognized commercial General Contractor has asked us to assist in identifying an experienced Paralegal to join its legal team in West Palm Beach, Florida . This is an excellent opportunity to join a large, established organization and provide direct paralegal support to the General Counsel overseeing the Southeast and South Florida region , as well as other members of the corporate legal team. The company is open to considering this position on either a Temp-to-Hire or Direct Hire basis , depending on the candidate's experience and background. This is a full-time, 100% on-site position in West Palm Beach. Key Responsibilities: Manage the collection and organization of documents responsive to subpoenas, discovery requests, and other legal matters. Perform privilege reviews and assist with or supervise document reviews involving outside counsel and opposing counsel. Manage E-Discovery requests and serve as a liaison between Legal, IT, Operations, outside counsel, and third-party vendors. Manage and implement legal holds utilizing internal E-Discovery systems. Partner with the Human Resources team regarding legal matters involving labor and employment issues . Administer E-billing software and serve as the primary liaison with E-billing service providers. Manage Legal Department document management, filing systems, records, and related procedures. Provide contract documentation support, including document comparisons, preparation of contracts and exhibits for execution, and uploading documents to DocuSign as needed. Track and coordinate renewals of professional licenses for supported attorneys. Track outstanding transfer bonds and coordinate their return once applicable claims have been satisfied. Prepare Satisfactions of Lien, Claims of Lien, releases, and related legal documents , while maintaining appropriate tracking logs. Maintain and track Notices to Owner and Notices of Commencement . Assist with the recording, retrieval, and review of public records. Prepare and circulate weekly and monthly legal reports, agendas, and other departmental documentation. Perform additional legal and administrative duties as required. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree with at least 4 years of related paralegal/legal experience , or approximately 6–10 years of directly related experience in lieu of a degree. Strong understanding of legal department procedures, document management, and business operations. Extensive experience conducting legal research using platforms such as Westlaw, LexisNexis, Loislaw, PACER, or similar legal research tools . Strong proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook , database management systems, and internet-based research. Working knowledge of E-Discovery procedures and software , such as Relativity, Concordance, Summation, or similar platforms. Experience working within a corporate or in-house legal department strongly preferred. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple legal matters, deadlines, documents, and priorities simultaneously. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with attorneys, executives, internal departments, outside counsel, and vendors. High level of discretion and professionalism when handling confidential and sensitive legal information. Construction industry experience is helpful but not required. Procore experience is a plus. Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is an experienced Paralegal who is comfortable working in a fast-paced corporate legal environment and can independently manage E-Discovery, legal documentation, research, contracts, liens, public records, and administrative legal processes. Someone with previous experience supporting in-house counsel, a corporate legal department, construction law, commercial litigation, labor and employment, or a large law firm could be particularly well suited for this opportunity. #J-18808-Ljbffr
