Lead Site Reliability Engineer - Allergan Aesthetics

AbbVie seeks a Lead Site Reliability Engineer for Allergan Aesthetics to drive reliability and operational excellence for large-scale public-facing software. The role involves defining SLO frameworks, managing incident response, mentoring engineers, and championing SRE practices across the Cloud Platform team.
Responsibilities
- Define and implement SLO/SLI frameworks and error budget-based prioritization strategies
- Own observability strategy including metrics, logs, traces, and alerting across services
- Lead capacity planning, load testing, and chaos engineering for critical services
- Manage incident response process, participate in on-call rotations, and conduct root cause analysis
- Mentor senior-level DevOps and Software Engineers on reliability and architectural best practices
Requirements
- Proven track record running SLO/error budget programs for large-scale production systems
- Deep experience with observability platforms such as Datadog and alert design
- Working proficiency with Terraform and Kubernetes on AWS
- Strong scripting and programming skills in Python or Go for automation
- Hands-on experience building or using agentic AI tools for engineering workflows (preferred)
