Description

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations for patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics, utilizing both standardized assessments and observational techniques to inform treatment.
• Create tailored treatment plans that address immediate goals and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing aspirations.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions focusing on language, fluency, voice, and swallowing difficulties.
• Engage with a multidisciplinary team including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to develop integrated care approaches.
• Empower patients and their families with valuable education to foster progress beyond the therapy sessions.
• Support the team with occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions to ensure seamless care delivery throughout the treatment continuum.
• Maintain diligent and accurate documentation in alignment with all regulatory and organizational standards.
• Stay at the forefront of the industry by participating in continuing education and collaborative learning with peers.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification has not been attained.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice as a Speech Language Pathologist in the state.
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of employment.
