- Conduct comprehensive evaluations for patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics, utilizing both standardized assessments and observational techniques to inform treatment.
- Create tailored treatment plans that address immediate goals and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing aspirations.
- Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions focusing on language, fluency, voice, and swallowing difficulties.
- Engage with a multidisciplinary team including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to develop integrated care approaches.
- Empower patients and their families with valuable education to foster progress beyond the therapy sessions.
- Support the team with occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions to ensure seamless care delivery throughout the treatment continuum.
- Maintain diligent and accurate documentation in alignment with all regulatory and organizational standards.
- Stay at the forefront of the industry by participating in continuing education and collaborative learning with peers.
- A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification has not been attained.
- Licensed to practice as a Speech Language Pathologist in the state.
- Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of employment.
- Expertise in evidence-based therapies for varied age groups, with a strong grasp of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing impairments.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients, families, and collaborative care teams.
- Flexibility in adapting therapeutic techniques to accommodate diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
- Sound clinical judgment complemented by strong problem-solving capabilities.
