RN Nurse Manager - Long Term Care

Valley View Village – RN Nurse Manager Valley View Village, a Cassia community, is hiring an RN Nurse Manager to join our team on the long‑term care unit. Position Details Position Type: Full‑time Shifts: Day 8:00 am – 4:30 pm Location: 2571 Guthrie Ave, Des Moines, IA 50317 Responsibilities Coordinate, oversee, and provide resident‑related care. Practice restorative nursing to provide the best care to residents. Manage and assign tasks to nursing staff on the unit. Work with the DON to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. Notify the Clinical Manager, attending physicians, and family members of significant changes in a resident's condition and take follow‑up action as necessary. Monitor in‑house transfers, transfers to other facilities, and discharge planning. Document and maintain paperwork, referral records, and reports. Display a courteous attitude and respect for all residents, families, and staff. Support the nursing floor and provide direct patient care when needed. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Current IA Registered Nurse (RN) license required. 2+ years supervisory experience preferred. Experience in long‑term care a plus. Must be CPR certified.
