About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (07:00 - 15:00) Experience: Minimum 2 years of PACU experience License: Permanent license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS Must-Have: - Minimum 2 years of PACU experience - Call requirements: 1-2 weeknight call shifts every 2 weeks - One weekend every 8-10 weeks - 2 RNs on call with a 30-minute response time Description: This position requires a registered nurse with a minimum of 2 years of experience in the PACU. The nurse will be expected to handle various shifts that may vary between 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM, depending on patient needs. Call duty involves night shifts during the week and weekends as outlined. On-call nurses are responsible for sending staff home when they are no longer needed. There is no evening shift relieving the nursing staff. The patient ratio is typically 2:1 during the day and weekends. Experience with charting systems, preferably Epic, is required. Preferred experience includes a background in trauma care and long-term acute care settings. This role may involve working with diverse patient age groups, including neonates, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics.
