Overview Senior Professional Services Engineer (SPSE) - deploy technology solutions for clients, ensuring sales growth through effective delivery of professional services, accurate proposal development, and pre‑sales technical design. The SPSE designs, implements, and optimizes complex technology environments while collaborating with sales, engineering, and client stakeholders to develop tailored solutions, support pre‑sales initiatives, and drive successful project outcomes. The SPSE provides project implementation services with a focus on advanced‑ to‑expert level complexity tasks and functions associated with the project, offers technical support and assistance to the enterprise, and manages project issues with an advanced to expert level of complexity. Responsibilities Deliver professional services with a focus on: Client satisfaction Quality Technical excellence Participate in successful completion of project work including analysis, design, development, documentation, and testing of client network operations. Perform quality assurance activities to ensure standardisation of best practice. Assist in the design and deployment of IT infrastructures and protection strategies to support client business plans. Act as technical escalation point for other engineers and specialists within the team. Implement network infrastructure and security policies that promote client objectives. Perform advanced to expert level network diagnostics and repairs as directed. Develop subject‑matter expertise in focused area(s) as needs dictate. Professionally document all work performed and submit accurate timecards on a daily basis. Assist other team members in maintaining accurate and up‑to‑date documentation of the client network environment and supporting material that ensures consistent quality remote support by any member of the Professional Service Delivery Team. Project Deployment Assigned as lead to run technology projects. Implement client projects for cloud, security, network optimisation, and overall performance of our customers' infrastructure. Work with assigned project leads and project managers, working assigned tasks and within defined project scope and milestones to ensure the successful deployment of IT projects for our clients. Work with other team members to identify new revenue opportunities, primarily via projects. Respond to communications from team members within timelines established by All Covered's communication standards. Key Performance Metrics 78% billed utilization / 84% effective Project quality (time/budget/quality) Internal/External Contacts Daily interaction with team members and a variety of clients. The SPSE works closely with IT service consultants, field engineers, project managers, subject matter experts, and market directors to ensure client satisfaction expectations are met. Qualifications Strong customer interface and relationship building skills. 5+ years of experience in network administration. 5+ years of desktop administration. 5+ years of operating systems experience (Windows, Mac, Unix, and/or Linux). 5+ years of Exchange/Active Directory. Preferred industry certifications: MCTS/MCP Server 2008 or above, MCTS/MCP Exchange 2007 or above, CompTIA Server+, Cisco Certified Network Administrator (CCNA), VMware Certified, Apple Certified Technical Coordinator (ACTC). Successful experience designing, installing and supporting networks in multiple environments for multiple clients. Proven network analysis and diagnostic skills, ability to implement quick and effective solutions to network problems, and escalated issues when necessary. Strong proficiency in configuring, deploying and troubleshooting networking services: DNS, TCP/IP, VPNs, VLANs, VIPs, ACLs, routing, switching. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Advanced understanding and experience with backup processes, software and hardware. Additional technical competencies per discipline. Ability to communicate with users over the phone and provide remote support using a variety of remote support tools. Detail‑oriented self‑starter; able to function autonomously with minimal supervision. Strong team player. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to explain technical issues in clear and understandable language. Strong customer service orientation. Dedicated to consistent quality.
