ProSidian Seeks a Graphic Designer | Cultural Resources Field Guides Engagement Team | Graphics Artist II Labor Category - STD Level Exempt[1099] Professional aligned under services related to NAICS: 541620 located CONUS - Charlotte, NC Across The CONUS Region supporting The FPAC Business Center is a first-of-its-kind organization at USDA, combining the talent of employees from all three FPAC agencies into specialized teams that serve employees and customers across the Farm Service Agency (FSA), the Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS) and the Risk Management Agency (RMA). This new business approach helps agencies improve operations and efficiency at USDA and boosts support for America's farmers, ranchers and foresters.
Seeking Graphic Designer candidates with relevant Agriculture, Forestry, Fishing, And Hunting Sector Experience (functional and technical area expertise also ideal) to support professional services engagement for Agriculture, Forestry, Fishing, And Hunting Sector Clients such as FPAC. This as a Contract Contingent or Contract W-2 (IRS-1099) Position and ProSidian reserves the right to convert to a Full-Time ProSidian employed W-2 Position.
JOB OVERVIEW
Provide services and support as a Regional Cultural Resources Identification Field Guides (Graphic Designer ) in the Agriculture, Forestry, Fishing, And Hunting Industry Sector focussing on Environmental Services Solutions for clients such as United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) | The Farm Production and Conservation Business Center (FPAC) – Environmental Activities Division (ENV) Generally Located In CONUS - Charlotte, NC and across the CONUS Region.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES - Graphic Designer | Cultural Resources Field Guides [FPAC013018]
The Graphic Designer is responsible for the visual design and layout of the field guides, ensuring that they are user-friendly and visually appealing. This role includes creating high-quality images, diagrams, and charts that help users identify cultural resources in the field. The designer also ensures that the guides adhere to USDA's branding and design standards, contributing to their overall effectiveness as a field resource.
Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree with a minimum of five years of experience in graphic design, including creating and printing booklets and publications

Skills Required
- Proficiency in graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite); Ability to create clear, informative, and visually appealing designs; Experience in layout design for print publications.

- Creative thinking and attention to detail; Ability to interpret and implement design briefs effectively; Strong understanding of branding and visual communication principles.
