Salarycommensuratewith experience* Job Title: Quality Assurance Tester Location: Albany, NY (Hybrid) Duration: 31 Months (with potential for extension) Start Date: estimated - 10/8 W2 Hourly Rate: $58-68/hour Application Deadline: 9/4 Overview We are seeking a Quality Assurance Tester who will support our NYS client. This role will plan, manage, and execute quality assurance testing across multiple high-profile projects with complex functional domains within a matrix organization. The tester will support the full testing lifecycle, including test planning, test case development, test automation, defect management, test metrics reporting, and coordination with performance and security testing teams. Duties Under the direction of the QA lead, develop testing products including test plans, test cases, automated test scripts, and defect reporting documentation. Manage testing across multiple high-profile projects within a matrix organization, covering complex functional domains. Build and maintain automated test solutions using tools such as Selenium with .NET or related programming languages. Manage the defect lifecycle, including defect creation, monitoring, status reporting, and retesting of defect fixes using tools such as Jira and HP ALM/Quality Center. Create reports and dashboards for test metrics and present testing status to stakeholders and senior management. Coordinate and liaise with performance testing and security testing teams. Perform other duties as assigned. Mandatory Qualifications 7+ years of experience working on complex projects, including 2+ years in a leadership role as a Tester. 7+ years of quality assurance experience managing testing across multiple high-profile projects with complex functional domains within a matrix organization. 5+ years of experience reporting and presenting to stakeholders and senior management. 3+ years of experience creating reports and dashboards for test metrics using Jira or other tools. 3-5 years of experience managing the defect lifecycle, including defect creation, monitoring, status reporting, and retesting of defect fixes. 2+ years of experience coordinating and liaising with performance testing teams or security testing teams. 2+ years of experience with Fair Hearings and Mainframe modernization related systems. 7+ years of experience developing testing products, including test plans, test cases, automated test scripts, and defect reporting documentation. 3+ years of experience with automated testing tools such as Selenium. 3+ years of experience with defect tracking and test planning tools such as Jira, Jira-related plug-ins, or HP Application Lifecycle Management/Quality Center. 3+ years of experience in Java scripting or related programming languages in the context of developing automated test script solutions. 3+ years of experience supervising teams of quality analysts. 3+ years of experience leading and facilitating meetings, workgroups, and similar sessions.
