We are seeking a dedicated Clinical Medical Assistant to join our small, close-knit team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in patient interaction, skilled in managing electronic medical records using NexTech, and eager to support both administrative and clinical tasks. Training will be provided for non-invasive procedures, and occasional Saturday shifts may be required.

 

Responsibilities

• Greet patients in person and on the phone
• Check in patients using the NexTech EMR system
• Schedule patient appointments efficiently
• Measure and record vital signs accurately
• Maintain and update patient records
• Verify patient insurance information
• Support clinical staff during procedures and prepare exam rooms
• Draw blood and assist with other non-invasive procedures as trained
• Handle patient communication and phone inquiries professionally
• Assist with ensuring HIPAA compliance in all patient interactions

 

Preferred Qualifications

• Certificate or Diploma in Medical Assisting
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR), especially NexTech
• Familiarity with patient scheduling software
• Knowledge of vital signs monitoring
• Understanding of HIPAA compliance and insurance verification
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Effective time management abilities
