Temp: Work Study Student (Athletics)

Position Summary Internship: Work Based Learning. Students are placed into a worksite environment to gain experience in a particular career field in order to earn high school credits. Work Based Learning Interns do not replace a regular employee, but perform the tasks that they are assigned for the purpose of discovering whether a career field is suitable for them. Any student under 18 must obtain a work permit. Essential Duties/Responsibilities Work in technology environments, including websites, hardware and software. Assist with plumbing, electrical, auto repair, machine shop and maintenance tasks. Perform office tasks and learn to use Microsoft Office Suite and office equipment. Work with Signature Program or Magnet Program leaders to support programming. Provide teacher, classroom, and outdoor learning support in AACPS elementary and middle school summer camps. Perform other related duties as assigned within the same classification or lower. Demonstrated ability to effectively work and communicate with diverse populations. Demonstrated proficiency with business technology applications (e.g., video/web conferencing, Microsoft Office Suite – Word, Excel, Outlook, and/or PowerPoint).
