Make a meaningful impact supporting students as an Instructional Assistant in a rewarding school-based setting. This contract opportunity is perfect for compassionate professionals ready to start right away and eager to work closely with students who benefit from personalized guidance. You'll provide essential support to two 5th graders, including one student who uses a wheelchair and has cerebral palsy, as well as another with asthma. Your role will focus on helping them thrive academically and physically in a positive and supportive environment.

Candidates with previous Special Education (SPED) experience will find their background especially valuable in this role, and any prior medical experience is a welcome asset. This position is primarily 1:2, with most responsibilities centered on the student using a wheelchair, assisting with mobility, toileting, feeding, and classroom participation. You’ll also offer help to both students as needed.

Desired Skills & Experience:

• Previous experience working as a paraprofessional or instructional aide in special education settings
• Strong commitment to supporting students with varying physical and learning needs
• Experience providing mobility, feeding, and personal care assistance
• Comfort supporting students with medical needs including cerebral palsy and asthma
• Friendly, empathetic approach and willingness to work collaboratively with teaching staff
• Ability to start as soon as possible
