About The Role Clarvida is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Office Assistant. Job Description Summary Job Title: Office Assistant Location: Bakersfield, CA Employment Type: Permanent Salary: $21.00-$23.00 /hour Date Posted: October 8, 2026 Responsibilities Answer and direct phone calls; take messages as appropriate Greet visitors and direct them to the appropriate person Prepare outgoing faxes and distribute incoming faxes Photocopy a broad range of materials Schedule meetings and appointments Type routine correspondence and prepare files as assigned Maintain and order inventory of office supplies Assist in new hire set-up process for office or program Maintain and ensure HIPAA, ethical standards, and professional boundaries with all staff and clients Assist with billing to clients or Medi-Cal and Medi-Care Research and prepare special projects as assigned. Recommends changes to internal office procedures and workflow Assist supervisor or management in the development of the work unit's annual budget, contracts, and monitoring adherence to such on a monthly basis Attend meetings and/or trainings to take notes or minutes Handle or assist with small office moves (office furniture) Other duties as assigned or necessary to support the program, office, and/or the company Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED with computer or business courses One year of work experience, preferably in an office setting providing general clerical support Excellent phone manner, good arithmetic skills, and strong spelling, grammar, and punctuation skills Intermediate level PC skills required Excellent organizational, interpersonal, computer, and communication skills Ability to effectively prioritize and manage time Compensation & Benefits Salary: $21.00 - $23.00/hour Paid vacation days (increase with tenure) Separate sick leave (rolls over annually) Up to 10 paid holidays (varies by region) Medical, dental, and vision insurance options DailyPay - access your earnings before payday Training, development, and continuing education credits for licensure requirements 401(k) retirement plan Free licensure supervision Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Pet insurance Perks @ Clarvida - discounts on shopping, travel, entertainment, Verizon, and more About Clarvida Clarvida is a trusted provider of behavioral health and human services.
