Senior Accountant

A well-established global distribution company is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its growing finance team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a stable, industry-leading organization with strong career growth potential and direct exposure to senior leadership.
Location: Nassau County, NY (4 days onsite)
Compensation: $110,000 - $130,000 + 10% bonus
Key Responsibilities:
- Support month-end close, journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Perform general ledger accounting and account analysis
- Manage bank reconciliations and cash-related activities
- Analyze inventory, operational costs, and variances
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost accounting initiatives
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings
- Ensure compliance with financial reporting and regulatory requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred
- 7+ years of accounting experience
- Experience within inventory-based environments preferred
- Public accounting experience is a plus
- Proven tenure, strong analytical skills, and a proactive mindset
