Neonatology Physician

Opportunity:

Physician - Pediatrics - Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine

Job Details:

• Full-time position providing daily rounding on all babies delivered in a new Level II NICU
• Provide backup on-call coverage for Advanced Practice Providers (APPs)
• Up to 3 patient encounters per shift
• Must hold an active Pennsylvania license (IMLC not accepted)
• Board certification required with a minimum of Fellowship level 2 training
• BLS and PALS certifications required
• Required skills include: Level II/NICU nursery care, invasive and non-invasive ventilation management, use of nitric oxide (iNO), chest tube insertion, exchange transfusions, hemodialysis catheter placement, evaluation and management of acute volume/blood pressure issues, insertion of central lines, arterial lines and PA catheters, lumbar puncture, paracentesis, thoracentesis, circumcision, and attendance at all C-sections including high-risk C-sections
• Preferred skills include: non-invasive ventilation management (neo-puff), intubation (ETT/NT) for both newborns and pediatrics, conscious and deep sedation, UVC, UAC, X-ray and EKG interpretation, suturing minor lacerations, and swallow studies
• Overtime requires approval from Practice Administrator
• Lunch break is not included in worked hours
