Description

• Conduct evaluations across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics using established assessment tools alongside observational methods.
• Create individualized treatment plans focusing on both short-term and long-term goals concerning communication, cognition, or swallowing.
• Deliver focused one-on-one therapy interventions addressing various aspects of speech, language, articulation, voice, and swallowing.
• Work in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, and family members to devise comprehensive care strategies.
• Engage in patient and family education that empowers them to contribute to progress even beyond therapy sessions.
• Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions to ensure seamless continuity of care throughout the therapeutic journey.
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation compliant with state, federal, and facility regulations.
• Commit to ongoing learning and development through continuing education and collaborative efforts with peers.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet certified by ASHA.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
