Position Purpose

We are seeking a skilled individual to provide diagnostic imaging services to patients using various imaging modalities. The successful candidate will ensure accurate image acquisition, prioritize patient safety, and deliver optimal patient care. Clear communication and patient education regarding procedures, equipment, and exams are essential for ensuring patient understanding and cooperation.

Essential Functions and Basic Duties

Position-Specific Responsibilities:

• Perform MRI procedures in accordance with defined protocols.
• Demonstrate advanced knowledge in radiographic procedures, including X-ray, Fluoroscopy, C-arm, and OR work.
• Adhere to radiation safety practices, following ALARA standards.
• Operate imaging equipment in line with manufacturers' recommendations.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and contact a service engineer for necessary maintenance.
• Maintain accurate patient records in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, including charging for procedures and supplies.
• Contribute to various functions within the clinic as required.
• Exhibit flexibility by assisting in different modalities, adjusting schedules, or taking on call, overtime, or holiday shifts when necessary.
• Obtain additional training or certifications as needed.
• Assist with clerical duties, phone reception, and patient transportation when called upon.
• Support the training and cross-training of imaging staff members.
• Demonstrate self-motivation, independent judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Order, stock, and maintain supply inventory efficiently.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Comply with all regulatory requirements, including adherence to departmental, hospital, state, and federal standards and policies.
• Follow all infection control, safety, and risk management procedures to ensure a safe environment for patients, the public, and staff.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age (21 for positions requiring driving, with a valid driver's license).
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Must successfully pass a background check.
• Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and breath alcohol test (if applicable).
• Must complete an Employee Health meeting prior to starting employment.

Education, Licensure, and Certification Required:

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program.
• ARRT registration in Radiology (R), including Computed Tomography (CT) and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or must obtain within 90 days of hire or transfer).

Preferred Experience:

• Two (2) years of prior experience as a practicing Radiologic Technologist with expertise in CT and MRI.
• Cross-training in additional modalities such as DEXA and Mammography.
• Experience with electronic records, including PACS and RIS/HIS.
