Assignment Details

Less than 1 year of experience required.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program - Required
• ARRT registration in Radiology (R), including Computed Tomography (CT) - Required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or must obtain within 90 days of hire or transfer) - Required
• Two years prior experience as a practicing CT Technologist - Preferred
• Cross-trained into other modalities, including MRI, DEXA, and Mammography - Preferred
• Experience with electronic records, including PACS and RIS/HIS - Preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic imaging services using various imaging modalities while ensuring patient safety and optimal patient care.
• Explain procedures and equipment to patients to ensure their understanding and cooperation.
• Position patients for CT scans and perform all exams based on Imaging Department Protocols.
• Assist radiologists in routine and interventional CT procedures.
• Evaluate and collate processed images for technical quality.
• Maintain accurate patient records in electronic health records (EHR).
• Demonstrate proficiency in IV placement for contrast administration.
• Maintain compliance with radiation safety standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned, including assisting in clerical functions and cross-training staff members.
