Job Description
The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) provides direct applied behavior analysis (ABA) services to clients, primarily in home-based settings. The RBT is responsible for implementing behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), ensuring effective data collection and progress monitoring. Managing a caseload of 1-3 clients, the RBT collaborates weekly with the supervising BCBA to optimize client outcomes and support skill acquisition while maintaining crisis management and thorough session documentation. This role offers career advancement opportunities through additional certifications.
Responsibilities
- Collect and record data on client behavior and interventions
- Implement behavior intervention plans and skill acquisition programs
- Monitor client progress and adjust interventions in collaboration with BCBA
- Manage crisis situations effectively and safely
- Document sessions accurately and timely
- Work closely with BCBA on treatment planning with weekly collaboration
- Provide behavior support tailored to individual client needs
- Maintain positive and therapeutic client relationships
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential
Preferred Qualifications
- Entry-level experience in applied behavior analysis (ABA)
- Proficiency in data collection and analysis
- Experience with behavior intervention plans
- Strong communication skills
- Knowledge of crisis prevention and intervention techniques
- Demonstrated empathy and patience with clients
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team
- Skilled in documentation and reporting
