Senior Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal

The Matassini Law Firm, P.A. | Tampa, Florida | In-House, Remote or Hybrid The Matassini Law Firm is looking for an experienced litigation paralegal who knows how to keep personal injury cases moving. This is an opportunity to work directly with experienced trial attorneys on meaningful Florida personal injury cases. We are looking for someone who understands the litigation process, anticipates what comes next and takes genuine ownership of their files. This is a senior, litigation-focused position, not an entry-level or primarily pre-suit role. What You’ll Do Manage personal injury cases through all stages of litigation, from filing through mediation and trial preparation Draft pleadings, motions, notices, subpoenas and substantive correspondence Prepare and respond to interrogatories, requests for production and requests for admissions Coordinate depositions, hearings, mediations, compulsory medical examinations and expert-related deadlines Maintain litigation calendars and independently monitor court orders, discovery deadlines and trial requirements Organize medical records, bills, liens, damages documentation, exhibits and case chronologies Communicate professionally and compassionately with clients while keeping them informed about their cases Work with opposing counsel, judicial assistants, experts, medical providers and other parties Prepare attorneys and case materials for depositions, mediations, hearings and trials File and serve documents through Florida’s electronic filing systems Anticipate case needs, identify potential problems and ensure no deadline or important detail is overlooked What We’re Looking For At least five years of substantial personal injury litigation experience Extensive familiarity with Florida civil litigation and personal injury practice Strong drafting, proofreading and written-communication skills Experience handling discovery and preparing cases for mediation and trial Excellent organization and the ability to manage multiple active cases and competing deadlines Sound judgment, personal accountability and consistent attention to detail Confidence working independently while remaining collaborative and responsive Professional and empathetic communication with clients Proficiency with litigation technology and electronic filing systems Plaintiff-side personal injury experience, meaningful trial-preparation experience and familiarity with Clio are strongly preferred. Compensation and Benefits Annual salary of $75,000–$90,000 , depending on the depth and relevance of the candidate’s experience Eligibility for quarterly performance bonuses Monthly health-insurance stipend Paid time off starting at 70 hours annually , with additional PTO negotiable based on experience Paid firm holidays SIMPLE IRA (matching) retirement-plan eligibility after 90 days Remote or hybrid work arrangement Firm-provided equipment for an effective home-office setup Remote employees must be available and responsive during the firm’s regular Eastern Time business hours.
