Donor Center Phlebotomist

Job Overview When you join our team you will use your healthcare and/or customer service skills to assist with every step of the blood collection process at fixed site locations, collaborating with your team to create a welcoming environment for volunteer donors and following all safety procedures while collecting life‑saving blood donations that are delivered to hospitals. Key Responsibilities Take the time to personally connect with donors—listen to their stories and help them understand how impactful their donation is. Collaborate with teammates to create a welcoming and friendly environment so volunteer donors feel comfortable returning. Maintain detailed orientation throughout the day to ensure collected blood meets goals, regulatory requirements and can be safely transfused. Standard Schedule Kennewick, Washington 4x10 – open availability is required. Variable schedule may include early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays. Schedule is provided two to three weeks in advance. Pay Information Starting rate $21.93/hour. Minimum Qualifications Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience. Minimum of one year customer service experience in a public setting. Current, valid driver’s license with a good driving record. Physical ability to lift, push or pull heavy weights up and down ramps and stairs, good manual dexterity, and ability to sit or stand for long periods and adapt to irregular hours and frequent schedule changes. Basic computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. Preferred Qualifications Prior healthcare or phlebotomy experience (CNA, MA, EMT, etc.). Prior leadership experience.
