Radiation Therapist - Radiation Oncology

Role Overview: Responsible for administering ionizing radiation to patients following physician prescriptions, ensuring safety and accuracy during treatment. Key Responsibilities Deliver prescribed radiation therapy doses, verify patient identity, and explain procedures to patients. Prepare treatment rooms and equipment, assist with patient positioning, and ensure safety protocols are followed. Monitor patients during treatment for reactions or complications, reporting any issues promptly. Maintain detailed records of treatments, patient charts, and related documentation. Supervise and evaluate students' practical procedures as part of clinical education. Perform additional duties as assigned to support department operations. Qualifications & Skills Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiation Therapy (AART-T) and certified in Therapeutic Radiology Technology (RTT). Preferred: Bachelor's or Master's degree in radiological technology and radiologic technology experience. Required: Valid state fluoroscopy permit (preferred), CPR/BLS certification (preferred).
