Develops, modifies, and executes software test strategies, plans and suites. Analyzes and writes test standards and procedures. Maintains documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software. Analyzes test results to ensure existing functionality and recommends corrective action. May develop tools and environments to automate test execution. Consults with development engineers in resolution of problems.Management Level Definition:Contributions impact technical components of HPE products, solutions, or services regularly and sustainable. Applies advanced subject matter knowledge to solve complex business issues and is regarded as a subject matter expert. Provides expertise and partnership to functional and technical project teams and may participate in cross-functional initiatives. Exercises significant independent judgment to determine best method for achieving objectives. May provide team leadership and mentoring to others.Key Responsibilities: Collaborate closely with software engineers and product managers to define test strategiesPerform in-depth testing on delivered features and bugsBuild and maintain automated test coverage for UI and APIExecute automated tests and analyze results for defects or test updatesGeneral exploratory testing to identify issues before shipping to customersMentor junior engineers and contribute to technical design discussionsDrive quality engineering best practices and continuous improvement across teamsRequired Qualifications: BS/MS degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent practical work experience with software test automation.Typically, 4-6 years’ experience with software test automation.Experience with Playwright or Selenium, and programming in Java, Typescript, or PythonKnowledge of Agile SDLC and experience in software testing methodology, tools, test planning and test execution.Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills for performing root cause analysis.Knowledge of tools and processes for regression, scale, and performance testingSelf-motivated with excellent verbal and written communication skillsPreferred Experience​: Virtualization (KVM), containers, and Kubernetes ecosystemsCloud platforms (VMware, AWS, Azure, GCP)Robust testing: performance, load, security, vulnerabilityAI agents and coding supportAgile software environmentsInfrastructure-as-code and configuration management tools (Terraform, Ansible)What We Can Offer You:Health & WellbeingWe strive to provide our team members and their loved ones with a comprehensive suite of benefits that supports their physical, financial and emotional wellbeing.Personal & Professional DevelopmentWe also invest in your career because the better you are, the better we all are.
