About the Position

We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week contract assignment in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. The ideal candidate must have strong perioperative nursing experience, including orthopedic and neurological OR experience , and be comfortable supporting a variety of surgical procedures.

The selected candidate must be flexible with varied shifts and available to participate in weekday and weekend call rotations while maintaining high standards of patient safety and clinical performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care before, during, and after surgical procedures.

• Support orthopedic and neurological surgeries in the Operating Room.

• Prepare the operating room, equipment, and supplies according to procedure requirements.

• Monitor patients' conditions and maintain patient safety throughout surgical procedures.

• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiology professionals, and the interdisciplinary surgical team.

• Follow infection-control protocols and established perioperative standards.

• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow facility policies.

• Participate in weekday and weekend on-call rotations.

• Adapt to varied shifts and changing surgical department needs.

Requirements

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room RN experience.

• Orthopedic OR experience required.

• Neuro OR experience required , including Level I or Level II experience.

• Active Nebraska RN license or applicable compact RN privilege.

• Current BLS/BCLS certification required.

• Current ACLS certification required.

• Availability for weekday and weekend call.

• Flexibility to work varied shifts and 4 × 10-hour schedules.

• Strong clinical judgment, teamwork, and communication skills.

Schedule & Assignment Details

• 13-week contract assignment.

• Varied shifts with four 10-hour shifts.

• 36 guaranteed hours per week, with no daily guarantee.

• Overtime applies after 40 hours per week.

• Weekend call approximately every 4–5 weeks.

• One weeknight of call per week.

• Holiday coverage required.

• On-call and callback duties may apply.
