Regional Sales Manager - North Cal (2008)

The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) will promote the sale of all Choice Administrators products as an outside sales representative. Products include CaliforniaChoice and Choice Builder. Sales will be made to brokers in the North Bay territory, through presentations to brokers and small business owners. The RSM will also work and develop relationships with general agent partners to increase product distribution. Applicants must reside in one of the following counties: Butte, Colusa, Contra Costa, Del Norte, Glenn, Humboldt, Lake, Lassen, Marin, Mendocino, Modoc, Napa, Plumas, Shasta, Sierra, Siskiyou, Solano, Sonoma, Tehama, and/or Trinity. Essential Functions Work with the Director of Field Sales to develop key sales techniques for broker and client presentations. Assist brokers with presenting to end‑users (business owners) to increase sales. Assist in servicing General Agencies. Conduct presentations for various industry audiences. Interface heavily with inside sales representatives (SISR & ISR) to enhance sales results and growth. Require extensive daily travel. Maintain on‑site or remote attendance and punctuality. Perform other business tasks or functions as assigned. Qualifications Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required Possess a valid California driver’s license and maintain proper car insurance. Have personal, reliable transportation for traveling. Hold a California Life & Health producer license; if not, obtain it within three months of hire. Two to three years of industry experience in group health insurance sales preferred. Computer literate; preferred experience with Salesforce. Working knowledge of carrier portfolio and related products and services. Knowledge and understanding of the small group marketplace. Effective communication skills when conducting in‑person sales presentations. Can present to large groups. Self‑disciplined and able to work with minimal supervision. Results‑driven and able to work in a fast‑paced environment. Good organizational skills and ability to multi‑task. Professional demeanor. Educational Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required; college education preferred. Active California Life & Health license required or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire. Physical Requirements Sit for extended periods and occasionally stand and walk. Have adequate hearing for phone work. Vision includes close vision and ability to adjust focus.
