Supply Chain Specialist

We are seeking a Supply Chain Specialist for a contract position. This role is responsible for the procurement of materials, equipment, and services. The ideal candidate will manage purchase requisitions, resolve discrepancies, and ensure timely delivery from suppliers while upholding supply chain controls and contributing to process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive and review purchase requisitions for materials and services for completeness and proper approval.
• Purchase materials, equipment, and incidental services for assigned areas.
• Identify and resolve purchase order and invoice discrepancies in collaboration with Accounts Payable, suppliers, and stakeholders.
• Expedite purchase commitments to ensure timely delivery and acceptable performance by suppliers.
• Ensure the proper use of tools and systems provided to monitor, verify, and implement supply chain controls.
• Utilize practices such as RFQs, bid analysis, and negotiations to ensure maximum value.
• Work with supply chain and legal professionals to ensure contractual terms and conditions are acceptable.
• Maintain awareness of current market conditions, new products, and supply sources for assigned commodities.

Required Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree is required. A degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or Accounting is preferred.

Experience: Two or more years of relevant experience is preferred.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in SAP, Ariba, and Microsoft Office products is required.

• Adapts well to fluctuating situations and works independently with limited guidance.
• Strong communication skills with internal customers, external suppliers, and different operational functions.
• Collaborates with supported business units to assess and fulfill all requests in a timely manner.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects and priorities.
