Commercial Service Desk Agent

Our Commercial Service Desk Agents are the voice of Metronet for our business customers – answering inbound calls from customers with billing issues, technical issues, or general questions regarding their business services. Additionally, our Commercial Service Desk Agents will assist with customer questions and concerns on all products and services offered by Metronet through research and resolution using various tools and systems. This role also will process credit applications and activates service, maintains appropriate records, prepares required reports and updates customer accounts. A successful candidate would have that customer service mindset as well as have strong verbal communication skills, time management skills, and the ability to work efficiently and effectively multi-task in a fast-paced, high volume call center environment.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Answers business customer/client requests or inquiries concerning services and products and reports problem areas.
• Utilizes various systems and tools to assist and service customers.
• Maintain up-to-date working knowledge of all company products, services, and promotions.
• Make system recommendations based on customers equipment specifications in accordance with customer’s needs.
• Determine customer billing issues and provide solutions based on customer.
• All other duties as assigned

JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

• Highschool Diploma or GED required and/or associate degree preferred
• At least 1+ year of related experience or within high volume call center environment

• Must be detail oriented and strong ability to follow procedures
• Solid problem-solving skills with excellent verbal and written communication skills required
• Proven ability to deescalate or persuade customers using exemplary Customer Service, Initiative and Problem-Solving competencies

• After-hours (5pm) and weekend work (8-12pm CST) as needed – Shift Rotation
